The program's music component helps catechists engage the ear as well as the eye. Each Catechist Guide comes with a CD of 8–11 quality songs and music that has been specially arranged and recorded for Finding God: Our Response to God's Gifts. As an integrated component, music lyrics correspond to a session's faith focus and help children to celebrate their beliefs and praise God. The Catechist Guide provides full instructions on when and how the catechist can use the Music CD within a session.

The recorded songs are sung by children similar in age to the grade-level participants in a given Finding God session, inviting children in the program to identify with and take the music to heart.
An instrumental version of each song is also provided on the CD,
and complete lyrics and melody are included in the back of the Children's Book.
This supports those catechists who wish to lead children in singing the songs themselves.
Reflective instrumental music—two selections per grade—is also included on each CD to play when children are entering or leaving the session room, when they are in reflective prayer, or when they are involved in one of the unit-ending prayer services. This mood-setting music helps the catechist create an atmosphere that encourages children to quiet themselves and open their hearts and minds to
the Holy Spirit.
